If the Eagles go on to defeat the Huston Texans with Nick Foles under center, should they stick with him for the remainder of the 2018 season even if Carson Wentz is 100% healthy and ready to go?

The Eagles Playoff Scenarios for Week 16
Here’s a few of the scenarios for the Eagles playoff hopes for Week 16 of the 2018 NFL Season.
Zach Ertz, Fletcher Cox and Brandon Brooks named to the Pro Bowl

Three Eagles were voted into the Pro Bowl for the 2018 season. Zach Ertz, Fletcher Cox and Brandon Brooks were the three to get the nod. This is Brandon Brooks second straight Pro Bowl election. This is also Zach Ertz’s second straight Pro Bowl and it’s Fletcher Cox’s fourth straight.
Of course, none of them actually played in the Pro Bowl for the 2017 season, since they were busy preparing to defeat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
Will Carson Wentz play again in 2018?
Carson Wentz has a stress fracture in his back. You’d think that would rule him out for the remainder of the 2018 season and land him on injured reserve, but that hasn’t happened (yet).
Will we see him on the field, playing, again in the 2018 season (or post-season if the Eagles get there)? Should we see him play again this season?
The Eagles playoff chances after defeating the Rams
With the win over the Rams, and the Saints victory over the Panthers, the Eagles playoff hopes have gotten stronger.
In order for the Eagles to make the playoffs, they need to win both of their final 2 games and have the Vikings lose one of their final 2 games against either the Lions or the Bears. If the Vikings lose both of their final 2 games, the Eagles would only need to win one of their final 2 games.
Of course, if Dallas loses both of their final 2 games and the Eagles win both of their final 2, the Eagles would win the NFC East. That’s a more unlikely scenario though.
Eagles Report for December 17th
The Eagles went to Los Angeles and defeated the 11-2 Rams at the Los Angeles Coliseum on Sunday Night Football, 30-23. What does this win mean for the Eagles playoff hopes?
The Eagles path to the playoffs after beating the Rams
The Eagles odds of making the playoffs jumped from 14% to 39% after defeating the Rams on Sunday Night.
The scenarios for the Eagles to make the playoffs are as follows:
1. Win the NFC East by beating the Texans and the Redskins and the Cowboys lose to the Buccaneers and the Giants.
2. Earn the 6th seed by beating the Texans and the Redskins and the Vikings lose to either the Lions or the Bears and the Panthers lose to the Saints in week 15, the Falcons in week 16 or the Saints in week 17.
3. Earn the 6th seed by beating either the Texans or the Redskins and the Vikings lose to both the Lions and the Bears and the Panthers lose to the Saints once or the Flacons.
None of those scenarios are out of the question, though scenario #1 is a bit far fetched and unlikely to happen. But stranger things have happened in the NFL, so you can never say never until the games have been played. A couple of days ago, few people would have had the Eagles beating the Rams, or the 49ers beating the Seahawk.
Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Rams 30-23
On a night when few believed that the Eagles could win, they did just that and shocked the NFL world.
Nick Foles played in place of Carson Wentz, who has a stress fracture in his lower back. It was just a year ago when Nick Foles had to come in, in relief of Carson Wentz after tearing two ligaments in his knee. Nick Foles was victorious in that game as well.
Sunday night’s victory puts the Eagles in the “7th seed” spot, which is on the outside looking in on the playoffs. But they are just a half game away from moving up into the 6th seed, which would mean they would play at least one Wildcard game. From there, anything can happen.
On the night, Nick Foles went 24/31 77.4% 270 YDS 0 TDs 1 INT with a passer rating of 89.4, while Jared Goff went 35/54 64.8% 339 YDS 0 TDs 2 INTs with a passer rating of 66.8.
Next up for the Eagles are the Houston Texans, in Philadelphia and then the Washington Redskins to finish off the regular season.
Can Nick Foles do it again?
With the Eagles set to play the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football, and Carson Wentz rules out. Can Nick Foles do it again, and pull off three straight wins for the Eagles?
Philadelphia Eagle Malcolm Jenkins fined $12,500 for comments about Refs
Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins has been fined $12,500 for his comments about officiating, following the Eagles loss to the Cowboys.
Jenkins said: “Whoever’s watching that in New York, ah, should stay off the bottle.” Whoever was watching it in New York, apparently didn’t like that comment.

Eagles Report for December 14th
Reports of Carson Wentz having a fracture in his back came out earlier in the week. Word today is that it’s a stress fracture. Head Coach Doug Pederson said that it will not require surgery, but could be a 3 month recovery time.
Officially, Carson Wentz is listed as ‘doubtful’ for Sunday’s game vs. the Los Angeles Rams, but nobody expects to see him play for the rest of the season. That means that for the second straight year, Nick Foles will come in and finish the final 3 games of the season under center.
